Back to School Makeup

Hey everyone! Welcome back! As it is the season of going back to school, I thought it would be fitting to write a post on back to school makeup/the makeup I usually wear to classes. I don’t want to do completely full glam every day for school but I do want to put myself together a little bit. I thought I would talk about what products I usually use and kind of describe the look I try to go for. Let me know in the comments if you guys like this type of post or not. It’s definitely different for me but I wanted to go for it anyway.

Alright, now to the makeup. I didn’t want to write too much about this so I’m just going to talk about the products that I use in the order that I use them real quick:

First, primer: Nivea Men’s Post Shave Balm in Sensitive – great for long wearingness (such as 8 hours at school) and helps makeup apply easier in my opinion.

Foundation:L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow – kind of natural finish with medium coverage – perfect for a school day. I talk about it more here.

Concealer: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer – my ride or die concealer honestly. Easy to blend and just overall great.

Setting Powder: Covergirl Professional Loose Powder – my go to powder for a while now. Sets my makeup without becoming too matte or cakey. You can hear me rave about it more here.

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer – I love this product to fill in brows super quick and very easily. I love how this product makes my brows look every time and it’s easy to make your brows more intense or softer whatever you’re in the mood for.

Eyes: Usually no shadow, occasionally I’ll just throw a transition color into my crease to liven my eyes up a little but nothing crazy. I do line my eyes using the Too Faced Sketch Marker Liquid Liner in black that came in the Power of Makeup Collection with NikkieTutorials (full review coming soon). I also line my waterline with just a black waterline pencil. Recently for mascara I’ve been using my Maybelline Excessive Lash Mascara that I got in my Ipsy bag back in July. I love this mascara because it’s not completely dramatic but definitely lengthens and volumes a really good amount.

Cheeks: I don’t do much for cheeks but I will go in with some bronzer, a little bit of blush and a very subtle highlight. For all of this I actually went into the Power of Makeup Collection with NikkieTutorials today and used the Chocolate Soleil bronzer, a mixture of the I Will Always Love You and Justify My Love blushes and then highlighted with Champagne Truffle.

Lips: Usually for school I just go in with a chapstick. I don’t like to do a liquid lip or anything because I don’t want to worry about having to reapply throughout the day. On days when I do feel like doing something a little more, I’ll go in with a nude liquid lip usually.

And that’s it! It’s a really easy look to achieve and can be changed up anyway to make it a little more glam or a little bit less glam or whatever you want!

I hope you guys are all enjoying going back to school (if that’s what you’re doing), and if not I hope you just enjoyed this post and got some entertainment out of this!

Thank you guys so much for reading, and I’ll talk to you guys soon.

Xoxo,
Rachel
